WE'RE DEBT FREEEEEEE!!!!!!

FREEDOM!! We are COMPLETELY debt free including the house! It took us 24 months to pay off 111,710.07 worth of debt. That included 4 (horrible) student loans, 2 (ridiculous) cars, and 1 (silly) year of college tuition. In addition, we sold our house in San Antonio. So, the GRAND TOTAL equals 266,710.07! That doesn't even take into account that we have also saved up 5 months of income for our emergency fund and have saved enough money to buy a 'new' used car! Can you believe it? We can hardly believe it. NO payments. Every month we pay ourselves those payments and put it towards retirement or savings or wealth building.
Let me just tell you what a blessing this whole experience has been. God has been SO good to us and has blessed us for our good stewardship. Honestly, we could have buckled down a lot more than we did. We were so spoiled with our lifestyle when we started this process that we 'cut back' but didn't 'cut out'. We wanted to take it easy because it was such a shock for us to actually budget :) There are no words for me to communicate how great this feels and how awesome this whole process has been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Financial Peace University and the ministry of Dave Ramsey has literally changed my life and my sons future! He will be brought up completely different than either Erik or I was. He will learn to save, he will learn to buy cars and other large items, even his home, with cash. There is NO STRESS related to money, finances, or bills in this household. Can you imagine? No worries about money, bills, gas prices.... This was the number one best thing Erik and I have ever done together. I tell you this story because I want all of you, the people we love, to be encouraged, to hope, to have what we have - FREEDOM. You can do it too!
